Legendary drummer Omar Hakim (Weather Report, Miles Davis, David Bowie, Sting) and Grammy winning pianist, Rachel Z (Wayne Shorter, Stanley Clarke, Peter Gabriel) came together in 2010 to form the Trio of Oz. Their debut CD, The Trio of Oz, garnered rave reviews and Jazziz Magazine nominated it Best Jazz CD of the year.

Newly added bassist, Solomon Dorsey, (Stevie Wonder, Bobby Watson), a recent grad of the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music, brings a fresh, explosive vibe to the Trio.

The Trio of Oz takes the audience on a magical journey performing groundbreaking arrangements of notable rock music from such bands as the Killers, Depeche Mode, Death Cab for Cutie and the Police.

With an unparalleled reputation for musical virtuosity, groove, heart and soul, The Trio of Oz is a unique musical experience for rock, jazz and jam lovers.
